The affordable housing development at Orr Street is part of a wider redevelopment of St Mary’s church grounds in Calton. The development will transform a derelict brownfield site to create 80 new affordable homes in two phases and a permanent memorial.
Housing association and charity Home Group has appointed AS Homes to deliver the £12.2m Orr Street development having already appointed the housebuilder for another scheme at North Gower Street development. The £5.5m North Gower Street development will see 36 new affordable homes built on the site of the former Bellahouston Academy.
Work is expected to be completed by autumn 2023.
