Astaldi closes €880m deal for Turkish health campus

26 Jun 15 Astaldi has finalised the €880m (£627m) of finance needed to build and operate the Etlik Integrated Health Campus in Ankara, Turkey.

The total investment in the project amounts to €1.1bn and will result in construction of one of the largest healthcare facilities in the world in terms of the number of hospital beds.

The concession contract involves the construction and subsequent operation of a highly specialised hospital facility which will provide 3,566 new hospital beds and occupy a total area of 1,071,000m2.

The construction of a hotel is also planned, together with a congress centre, various commercial areas and a car park offering 11,000 spaces.

The project has been commissioned by the Turkish Ministry of Health (MOH) and the signing ceremony was attended by the Turkish minister of health, Mehmet Müezzinoğlu..

The works will be carried out by a joint venture comprising Astaldi (with a 51% stake) and Turkish company, Türkeler.
