Astaldi team wins €71m clean-up contract

The €71m (£56m) contract involves the reclaimation of the former petrochemical complex in Porto Torres for environmental remediation company Syndial.

Work includes the design and execution of integrated reclamation works followed by restoration of three polluted sites.

The clean-up will lead to the treatment of more than 1,000,000m³ of contaminated soil, which will be analysed, classified, and treated using a high-tech integrated hub for waste recycling covering an area of 60,000m², to be installed on site.
