Edge Orbital Holdings 2 Ltd, a consortium of institutional investors arranged and advised by Macquarie Capital, has agreed to pay Atkins £66.3m in cash for its stake.
Subject to various third party consents, the deal is expected to close before the end of March.
Atkins is part of the Connect Plus consortium with Balfour Beatty, Skanska and Egis Road Operation UK, which was appointed by the Highways Agency in 2009 to manage the M25 for 30 years.
