Atlas Copco makes US and Turkish acquisitions

Pneumatic Holdings, based in Santa Fe Springs, California, provides light pneumatic construction tools including paving breakers, chipping hammers, rivet busters and rock drills. The company has 16 employees and had revenue in 2012 of US$10.8m (£6.9m). “The acquisition of Pneumatic Holdings strengthens our distribution and presence in the North American construction market,” said Nico Delvaux, president of Atlas Copco’s Construction Technique business area.

Pneumatic Holdings’s main customer segments consist of contractors and rental companies within the construction industry. The company becomes part of the Construction Tools division in Atlas Copco’s Construction Technique business area.

Atlas Copco has also acquired Dost Kompresör ve Endüstri Makinalari Imal Bakim ve Ticaret A.S. Dost Kompresör, based in Istanbul, Turkey, has 16 employees and is active in industrial compressor sales and service.

"This acquisition will expand our presence in the increasingly important Turkish market,” said Stephan Kuhn, president of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area. “It supports our strategy to focus on service relations with our customers.”

Dost Kompresör becomes part of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Service Division.
