Balfour Beatty will build a four-storey ‘L’ shaped building on the main campus of the University of Warwick. Balfour Beatty will also carry out mechanical and electrical installation works.
Work will start this spring with completion scheduled for spring 2017.
The 33,000 m2 development will house teaching, research & development, design and engineering facilities.
The total investment in NAIC and the initial technologies it will house by will be £150m. Funding has come from Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Motors European Technical Centre, the Warwick Manufacturing Group and government grants.
The NAIC is expected to provide a national focus for expertise in automotive research and development and to develop new vehicle technology.
