Balfour Beatty is building a new passenger concourse and ticketing facilities, as well as a café/restaurant and retail space and a three-storey hotel above the new concourse. [See previous report here.]
Will Dawson, convener of the council’s city development committee said: “As part of the contract process Balfour Beatty committed to providing a lasting benefit for the local community. They have created a detailed community engagement plan for the work which will bring more than 120 construction jobs per year for the two years of the build, £11.6m of gross added value to the local economy and knock on benefits to the local supply chain.
“By hosting the Meet the Buyer event we are keen to engage with as many local firms as possible to spread the benefits that this development will bring.”
The free event takes place at the Invercarse Hotel on Tuesday 17th November from 8.30am. Registration is not necessary.
