A joint venture of property investor DC Values and RFR Holding is client for the scheme, which has a value to BAM of more than €44m (£34m).
The Zeil is a pedestrian zone in the city centre of Frankfurt and has been one of Germany’s most famous and busiest shopping streets since the end of the 19th century.
Construction activities include the partial demolition of the current shopping centre Zeilgalerie, to enable BAM Deutschland to create a new building of seven floors with a total floor area of 14,800m2. Upper Zeil is designed by KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten.
BAM expects to complete the project in the autumn of 2018.
