BAM wins second building project by Bruges station

3 Oct 16 BAM subsidiary Interbuild has won a €27m (£23.4m) contract for a multipurpose building near the railway station in Bruges, Belgium.

The building is alongside a current project for the same client.

The latest scheme for client Group GL includes the construction of 6,000m² offices for end user Proximus – a mobile telecommunications provider – as well as a 111-room hotel, 48 apartments and private and public parking.

Interbuild is already building offices, apartments and student accommodation on an adjacent site. Both phases are designed by Antwerp architect Crepain Binst Architecture.

Construction work will start immediately, with the first parts of the multipurpose building due for completion in early 2018.
