As reported last month, Billington has bought equipment and other assets from Sherling Steel (UK) and the property it occupies in Shafton from Sabler Enterprises. Total price for the two purchases is £4.88m.
Billington chief executive Mark Smith said "I am pleased the acquisition of the site at Shafton along with the in situ plant and machinery has been completed successfully. The facility enhances Billington's capacity and capabilities and we are now able to provide wide offering of steel processing services through Shafton Steel Services. It is an exciting period for the company and presents significant opportunity to further develop the group".
