Everything from minor highways improvements to major civils work will carried out through the contracts, which will also be used by other local authorities.
Work is to be split into four lots, ranging in value from sub-£50,000 tasks through to highways and infrastructure projects worth more than £0.5m.
Tasks that could be carried out under the frameworks include general highway and junction improvements, traffic signal installations, highway maintenance through to major ring-road improvements. In addition there may be a requirement for contractors to undertake part or the whole design of some works.
