British Museum puts £10m cladding job up for grabs

24 Nov 10 The British Museum has gone out to tender for the curtain walling on its new World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre.

The contract, valued at £10m, calls for the design, manufacture and installation of anodised aluminium double glazed curtain wall systems, cast glass rainscreen, frameless double glazed cladding, anodised aluminium cladding, louvres and associated metalwork.

The World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre, designed byRogers Stirk Harbour + Partners,represents a major upgrade of facilities at the British Museum. Planning permission was granted in December 2009.
