Brookfield Multiplex lands refurb of Leicester Square’s west side

27 Aug 14 Brookfield Multiplex has been appointed as main contractor for the transformation of a 109,000 sq ft former office building in London’s Leicester Square.

LSQ London will be turned into a office and retail centre. Brookfield Multiplex joins a project team that includes Core as development manager, Make Architects, WT Partnership as quantity surveyors, Waterman as structural engineer and Hilson Moran as service engineer.

The site, which was formerly known as 48 Leicester Square, comprise the entire western side of Leicester Square, and the new building will provide 92,000 sq ft over seven floors of new Grade A offices and 17,000 sq ft of retail space over three floors.

Completion is due in the third quarter of 2016.
