The project is looking to provide an additional 440 student rooms by building a number of town houses and cluster blocks near to existing student accommodation on the campus.
Work will be taking place within a conservation area and the aim is to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Project value is estimated at £15m to £20m.
