The money will be used by the ACT government to deliver road improvements right across Canberra, creating construction jobs and reducing congestion as the city grows. The government is also seeking to attract economic growth into the capital by increasing freight capacity with better connections to hubs including Canberra Airport.
Largest of the schemes outlined in the AU$111m budget is AU$57m to complete the duplication of Horse Park Drive between the Federal Highway.
