The second Cat Auction Services unreserved public auction will take place on Tuesday 18th October 2016 at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Northamptonshire.

The on-site auction event will also be supported by IronPlanet’s online marketplace, which allows bidders to participate online.

It will be IronPlanet’s second live UK auction, following an earlier one, also at Rockingham, in April 2016, which attracted 17,580 prospective buyers in person and online and generated £4.9m in gross merchandise volume from 176 items.

The auction will feature Cat equipment from Finning, as well as additional machines from other dealers, rental customers and construction in the UK and Europe. Finning manager Enda Eiffe said: “Buyers will have the opportunity to purchase quality machines which are backed up by the credibility that the Caterpillar, Finning and IronPlanet brands bring. We were delighted with the level of success that April’s Rockingham auction generated, and are optimistic that this will be replicated in October.”

Machines can be previewed online in advance and come with inspection reports, guaranteeing the condition of the machine. Attendees to the auction can expect to see the machines in operation to assess their quality before placing a bid.

Cat Auction Services became a part of IronPlanet in April 2015. IronPlanet was taken over by Ritchie Bros Auctioneers last month. [See previous report here.]
