Clugston to build BMW terminal building

The 6000m² facility is being built for the Able Group by Clugston under a design and build contract with Durham architect Howarth Litchfield.

Work starts on site on 6th March 2017 and is scheduled to last 30 weeks.

The facility will be used by BMW for pre-delivery inspection – imported cars will be cleaned and inspected before onward distribution to UK retailers.

Construction involves a slab foundation, portal frame steel structure and external cladding.
