The new code is designed to offer an overview of the fundamentals of electrical safety, as well as a systematic process for assessing and managing electrical safety in any business.
It is intended to be understood and used by both technical and non-technical readers.
The IET (formerly the Institution of Electrical Engineers) says the code is expected to be particularly useful to the construction industry where the likelihood of electrical related accidents is high.
