Contract awarded for Cranleigh Abu Dhabi school

28 Oct 13 Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has awarded a UAE-based company the main construction work for a local incarnation of the UK’s Cranleigh School.

Al Tafseer Contracting & General Maintenance Company will build Cranleigh Abu Dhabi the school, which is set to open in Saadiyat Island in 2014.

Al Tafseer is scheduled to deliver the first phase of Cranleigh Abu Dhabi in time for the start of the academic school year in 2014, including building the junior and senior schools, dining halls and the sports facilities. This comes following the completion of all piling and enabling works on site of the development.

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is based on the ethos and curriculum of Cranleigh School, founded in the UK in 1865. It will be built on over seven hectares of land, with a capacity to accommodate more than 1,600 students, aged from three to 18 years.
