Overall budget for the 20,263 m² campus is £83m. Estimated value of the main construction contract is £58m.
The new campus will be built on Grangemouth Road in Falkirk, on the site of the college’s former Middlefield Building, next to the Helix Park.
The construction phase is expected to start in September 2017 and finish 23 months later in mid-August 2019, enabling the college to take occupation by October 2019.
Project partners include the Scottish government, Scottish Funding Council, Scottish Futures Trust, Forth Valley College Foundation and Aecom.
Architect Reiach & Hall has been appointed to design the new campus.
The new Falkirk Campus will complete Forth Valley College’s estates development strategy – a new Alloa Campus opened in 2011 and a new Stirling Campus opened in 2012.
