CRL joins forces with British water

5 Oct 10 Specialist contractor for the inspection, repair and strengthening of concrete & brick structures within the water industry, Concrete Repairs Ltd (CRL), has recently joined British Water to help build relationships with consultants and water authorities.

British Water is a trade association for the water industry supply chain.  Recognised as the voice of the industry, the Association represents the water sector collectively to government, regulators, other institutions, customer, key stakeholders and opinion formers.

CRL has over 50 years’ experience within the water industry.  With five regional offices across the UK and over 250 operatives and staff, the contractor offers a range of services to the water industry.  Services include concrete repair, brickwork repair, protective coatings, waterproof membranes for reservoir roofs and tanks, leak sealing, grouting, joint sealing and ancillary metalwork such as hatches, ladders and handrails.  In the case of structural strengthening, CRL is able to offer a design and install service. In addition, the specialist contractor also boasts a survey division which undertakes condition surveys and provides reports, which include budgeted repair recommendations that take into account current European legislation.

John Drewett, Director of CRL comments, “We offer great value solutions and now, as a member of British Water, we hope to join the debate on how these services are procured and executed in the future.  We are looking forward to being an active member of the Association by attending meetings and providing advice on best practice to other members on areas such as infrastructure maintenance.”
