HE Simm has recently completed a student accommodation project in London with Downing, provideing mechanical, electrical and public health works for the £25m Victoria Road project in Acton, North London.
The new student accommodation projects include:
- In Liverpool, the renovation of Scandinavian House to provide 241 beds and the new build three-storey Federation House with 90 studios.
- Three blocks in Cambridge totalling 586 beds, with one energy centre serving all three blocks as well as solar PV and a 180kW CHP unit.
- 58 clusters and 115 studios in Newcastle, including a 20kW CHP unit.
- A 21-storey block in Leeds totalling 404 beds, including a 20kW CHP unit.
Work is expected to be complete on each project by the end of 2014.
