Eiffage to rebuild major Paris interchange

5 May 15 The public works division of Eiffage has won a €48m (£35m) contract to restructure the Quai d’Ivry interchange on the Paris ring road.

Eiffage said that the project for Semapa will draw  on every area of expertise offered by the public works division, including civil engineering, steel construction and road building.

The 40-month project will involve the moving of 200,000m3 of soil, the building of seven reinforced concrete civil engineering structures, and the laying of 19,500m2 of road surfaced with Microphone phonic coated aggregate - an exclusive product developed by the public works division’s laboratories to reduce the noise caused by tyre/road contact.
