The Dundee business went into receivership last year and laid of all 128 employees with no redundancy pay.
Construction union Ucatt took the plight of the 128 employees to an industrial tribunal. As reported in the Dundee Courier, tribunal judge Mr CS Watt yesterday ruled that the employees are entitled to 90 days’ pay in redundancy having been made redundant with no consultation and no mitigating circumstances.
With WH Brown no longer around, the bill will be picked up by the government’s Insolvency Service.
