Farrans wins second Hounslow SEN school

8 Jun 16 Farrans starts work this month on a £29.3m contract to build new special education needs school for the London Borough of Hounslow.

The new school is being built in the grounds of Marjory Kinnon SEN primary and secondary school, on a sports field. According to the envisaged timetable, Marjory Kinnon pupils will move across to the new larger two-storey building in January 2018. The old school will then be demolished.

Gross internal area of the new school will be 9,657 m2. The old one is 2,787 m2.

This is the second SEN school that Farrans is building for Hounslow. In May we reported that it had won a £32.6m contract to build the new Gresham Road School on part of the old London Transport Sports Ground in Osterley. [See our previous report here.]
