Ferrovial wins €175m Polish bypass

1 Apr 16 Ferrovial Agroman subsidiary Budimex has signed a €175m (£138m) contract to design and build a bypass around the city of Olsztyn, in north-eastern Poland.

The contract involves the construction of 14.7km of the S51 highway as it passes south-east of the city. Work includes the construction of two intersections and access roads, plus about 20 structures. Budimex will also upgrade some other roads in the area. The work is expected to be completed in 28 months, excluding the winter time.

In the last few months, Budimex has increased its order book of Polish road projects with the award of two sections of the S7, two sections of the S6, two segments of the S17 and the Kepno bypass, on the S11.
