Miller will build a new primary and a secondary school for Flintshire County Council on land adjacent to an existing high school.

The single storey primary school will offer 315 pupil places and replace current local infants and junior schools.  The three story secondary school will offer 600 places and replace the existing high school on the site.  Both are due to open in September 2016.

It is the first project under a four-year £270m North Wales schools and public buildings contractor framework to which Miller was appointed earlier this year. The framework covers 15 projects that are to be delivered by a combination of Denbighshire County Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Gwynedd County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council, the Isle of Anglesey County Council and Flintshire County Council.

Miller Construction managing director Ian Jubb said he was “delighted to have been selected to deliver the new learning campus”.
