Up to five operators will be appointed for the framework, which will last four years and could be worth up to £12.5m. It covers removal and encapsulation of asbestos for academies, fire, police and other agencies across the county. It may also include work for additional establishments based in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Birmingham.
Contracts are due to start in January 2014 and run until the end of 2017.
