GAP has placed an initial order for 80 of these machines and will be the only supplier of the new excavator in the UK in 2013.
GAP procurement manager Ken Stewart said: “We are delighted as the biggest worldwide independent customer of Kubota to have secured UK exclusivity on the new KX080-4.The new excavator is more powerful than its predecessor yet is more fuel efficient, quieter and helps support the environment. One of the main selling points is the engine being Stage IIIB compliant. Our depots will receive these machines from April onwards which will increase our 8.0t excavator holding to over 360 machines. This reinforces our long term and successful partnership with Kubota.”
