It is GB’s fourth contract for the care home specialist, following developments in Epsom, Coombe and Marlow for a total of £34m
Signature now has seven developments in Buckinghamshire, Essex, Surrey, Sheffield, Leicester and Kent. This latest contract is part of Signature’s £250m plan for further developments in London and the Home Counties.
Sunninghill Care Home will have 69 private apartments that vary from studios to one bedroom suites. There will also be 24 dementia suites for those needing specialist care.
The home will include a cinema room, hair salon, therapy room, and a restaurant with private dining facilities and will open its doors to residents during winter 2015.
GB executive chairman Martin Smout said: “This latest commission is a testament to GB’s collaborative approach to the design and build of world class quality care and nursing facilities. We are delighted the Signature team chooses to continue to work with us on their expansion plans in the southeast.”
