British Land and Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) have announce that Cineworld will open the cinema as part of the second phase of the Whiteley development in Winchester.
Winchester City Council approved the 60,000 sq ft complex, which includes 30,000 sq ft of ground-floor space for additional restaurants, leisure and community uses.
The cinema will be located to the north east of the site. Construction work will begin in early 2014 with completion scheduled for spring 2015.
Whiteley’s first phase is anchored by a 60,000 sq ft M&S and opened on 23 May.
