Hewden Secures National Agreement With British Waterways

Following a rigorous tender process Hewden has been selected as a preferred supplier to British Waterways for all of its future plant hire, lifting equipment requirements, a deal worth an estimated £500,000.

Hewden has been working successfully with British Waterways for a number of years, but this is the first time the customer has placed a preferred supply deal with a hire company. In particular, the organisation was impressed with Hewden’s approach to health, safety and quality, which includes ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 accreditations at every depot location in the UK.

As part of the deal, Hewden will supply a comprehensive range of modern accommodation, plant, access, power, and a variety of lifting equipment, which is backed by the company’s UK-wide depot network that can provide support 24/7. Further to this, new generation quick hitches, bio oil and trackers will also be made available on request.

Hewden now boasts preferred supplier status with many of the country's topranking contractors, thanks to its local depot network, multiple accreditations and comprehensive product portfolio.
