Hochtief and Fluor land €990m Amsterdam transport scheme

20 Jan 17 A joint venture of Hochtief, Fluor and Heijmans has won a €990m (£857m) design and construction contract project in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The Zuidplus JV’s role on the Zuidasdok project includes the widening and partial tunnelling of the A10 South motorway, and expansion of the Amsterdam South station.

The €990m contract value includes seven years’ maintenance of the tunnels. Hochtief and Fluor each have a share of 42.5% in the JV and Heijmans 15%.

Zuidasdok is a joint project by the City of Amsterdam, ProRail and Rijkswaterstaat.

The widening and construction of station are required to improve accessibility to the Zuidas district. and the partial tunnelling will create new public space. Space will also be created for the new station.
