ISG eyes Midlands’ expansion with latest investment

20 Sep 10 ISG has signalled its intention to take a growing share of the construction and fit out market across the Midlands with a move to prestigious new office premises in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

Taking space at 40 St Paul’s Square will enable ISG to grow its team to support the company’s rapid regional growth, with recent highlights including the successful £24 million Gateway College relocation, the £8.3 million new Hinckley College campus scheme and £5.5 million Shrewsbury Music Hall redevelopment.

Leader of Birmingham City Council, Mike Whitby, was guest of honour at ISG’s recent launch event, and welcomed the company’s continued investment in the regional economy and drive to use local suppliers and businesses as a sustainable approach to project delivery. Mr Whitby also acknowledged ISG’s commitment to driving standards and best practice within the construction industry, as well as its support of industry skills training, with recent initiatives including direct involvement in the curriculum for students studying for the construction diploma at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.

ISG’s Midland office is responsible for delivering projects across both the public and private sectors, ranging in value from £200K to over £30 million. Generating a high volume of repeat business, ISG can count Severn Trent and the Alternative Hotel Group as key clients and also works with a number of local authorities to deliver both fast track and major capital projects. The company successfully delivered the VILLAGE Hotel and Velocity Health & Fitness club in Solihull and is nearing completion on a £10.5 million project at City Technology College (CTC) Kingshurst Academy to build new educational facilities.
