Having completed the first phase of the Mill O’Mains scheme in Dundee, ISG has been instructed to undertake the £8.5m second phase.

The £45m regeneration project focuses on two separate brownfield sites on the Mill O’Mains estate. The second phase involves the construction of 70 new homes across the two sites, comprising a mix of detached, semi-detached, terraced housing and flats in the development’s Mull Terrace, Lewis Terrace, Colonsay Terrace and Lismore Terrace.

The new properties are to be built to a ‘Very Good’ EcoHomes standard, with solar panels and a passive ventilation system. Outside, ISG will build new roads and pavements as well as gardens for the homes.

ISG handed over the first 65 homes at Mill O’Mains in May 2012. That was a £6.3m contract.

Home Scotland development manager David Zwirlein said: “We worked with ISG on phase one and we were impressed with the quality of work.”
