Italferr will be drawing up a feasibility study for the 1,000km line, a preliminary project on the line, the port links and the mining zones, after which it will work with the Ivory Coast in all further implementation stages of the project and its subsequent licensing phase.
The line will link the Ivory Coast port of San Pedro to Bamako, which is the capital of Mali. Approximately 300km down the line, it will pass over a rich mining area, after which it will go through mining and farming areas before reaching Bamako.
