British ambassador to Amman, Peter Millett indicated that all necessary arrangements will be made to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the area of construction sector and exchange of engineering expertise, with a focus on traffic safety, energy conservation and renewable energy alternatives.
Minister of public works and housing Sami Halaseh reviewed the ministry's duties, including designing and executing construction of government buildings in the health, road, traffic safety and educational sectors, in addition to floating tenders through the ministry. He noted that the ministry oversees the housing sector, as the minister is the chairman of the board of directors of the Housing & Urban Development Corporation, and also of the Jordanian National Building Council.
