Brent Council is rebuilding The Village School as a new centre of excellence for SEN pupils.

When completed in summer 2013, the two storey school will be able to accommodate 235 pupils, aged two to 19. Currently, 150 pupils from the merged Hay Lane and Grove Park Schools are being educated in a purpose-built, temporary school building on the grounds of Kingsbury High School while construction is underway.

Leadbitter has been working closely with the school to give pupils an insight to the construction process and see progress on their new school first-hand.

The school is targeted to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Leadbitter was awarded the £29m contract last year and has already demolished the old Hay Lane and Grove Park school buildings that are being replaced.
