Lovell awarded three new contracts by Norwich City Council

14 Dec 10 Housing maintenance and refurbishment specialist Lovell has been awarded three new contracts by Norwich City Council to carry out housing repairs and maintenance work.

Over the next nine months, Lovell will provide the Council’s housing repairs and maintenance service. In addition, the company will deliver Decent Homes kitchen and bathroom improvements, disabled adaptations to Council homes and undertake a third contract to carry out electrical upgrading work.

Housing refurbishment and regeneration specialist Lovell, part of construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall plc, is based locally in Thorpe Road, Norwich. Specialising in housing maintenance and refurbishment, new-build housing and regeneration development, Lovell has offices throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

“Our team is delighted to have been chosen by Norwich City Council for these three contracts and we look forward to continuing to work with the Council using our experience in housing refurbishment and maintenance work to deliver a high-quality service for residents,” says Lovell regional director Simon Medler.

Following the collapse of Connaught, Lovell stepped in to provide the emergency housing repairs service for the Council and is currently nearing completion of a range of building work to council homes previously started by Connaught.

“We would like to underline our continuing commitment to providing jobs for former Connaught staff wherever we can,” says Simon Medler.
