The new purpose built gymnasium will include a main hall, toilets and ancillary areas. The facility will free up existing space in the school’s multi-purpose room to enable the teaching of music, drama and other subjects.
The gymnasium will be built to meet the UK MOD and US Air Force’s sustainability objectives; including achieving a DREAM ‘Excellent’ score with features such as air source heat pumps.
Construction is planned to start in March 2011,with completion scheduled for early 2012.
This latest award reinforces Mansell’s long-term relationship with Defence Estates.
