Mansell’s partnership housing North West team demonstrates commitment to apprentices

3 Jan 12 Mansell’s Partnership Housing North West team has demonstrated its commitment to developing talent and skills in the workplace by recruiting two new apprentices.

Aaron Ward, aged 20 and Nicholas Hull, aged 19 have joined Mansell as joiners from Oldham College where they are studying Level 3 in Wood Occupations.  They are currently working at New Islington in Manchester, a design and build contract to provide 18 new homes.

The team is now training six apprentices, two specialising in bricklaying and four in joinery.

Partnership Housing North West Regional Managing Director, Stuart Belfield recognises the importance of apprentices to the industry, “Apprenticeships provide young people with vital life skills. Part of this is the chance to learn a craft, to build expertise and to excel in a particular vocation. This is in itself cannot be underestimated as a force for good.”
