In a reorganisation of UK and Ireland distribution, the asphalt plant business is transferred from Ammann Equipment Ltd to Ammann UK Ltd and the machine business has been sold to AY Equipment, owned by the managers of the former business, led by managing director Robert Brown.
AY Equipment becomes Ammann dealer for the entire range of Ammann compacting products including sales, maintenance and spare parts services for the UK and Ireland. It also offers the full range Yanmar mini excavators and carriers and Cormidi tracked dumpers that were previously sold by Ammann UK.
The asphalt mixing plant business is headed by Malcolm Apperley, who steps up from business development manager at Ammann Equipment to managing director of Ammann UK.
Both companies, Ammann UK and AY Equipment, will continue to provide their services at their current location in Warwickshire.
No changes will be made to the asphalt paver distribution business, which continue to be distributed by Pavemac in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire.
