Mick’s Mates is the latest initiative from the company, leveraging the company’s brand and local goodwill.
The sales pitch goes: “At Mick George Ltd, they understand you love your home, or are dependent on commercial properties, but no matter how good you are at DIY there becomes a point when you need to call an expert for help. Whether it’s major works, general maintenance or minor repairs, having confidence in the tradesman you choose is extremely important.”
It continues: “Mick’s Mates provide exactly that quality assurance. Mick George Ltd is a trusted local brand, established over 35 years in the construction industry, providing numerous other benefits. Their skilled and experienced team are specialists in multiple trade disciplines’, and will project manage any installation works from start to finish, including planning applications and sourcing products.”
Finance director Jon Stump explained: “Within the business we have a wealth of skillsets that span across a variety of disciplines, we are keen to utilise this wherever possible, especially if it enhances our service and benefits our customers.
“Research suggests that the housing market is particularly buoyant at present with over £27bn spent on housing-related purchases, of which £3.2bn accounts for the East of England where we primarily operate. On top of that, 53,000 planning applications in the region were submitted, which all in all tells us that there is a very real demand for this service.”
