Western Power Distribution has handed Morgan Sindall’s Construction & Infrastructure division a two-year extension to its three-year framework agreement for trenching, cable laying and reinstatement works in the West Midlands region.
Morgan Sindall was originally appointed to the framework, with an estimated value of at least £30m a year, back in November 2014.
The extension, worth up to a further £60m, will run until October 2019.
Morgan Sindall will deliver planned and reactive works on Western Power Distribution’s 11kV to 33kV distribution networks throughout the West Midlands region, which includes Stoke-on-Trent, Telford, Tipton, Birmingham, Hereford and Ludlow, Worcester and Gloucester.
Morgan Sindall chief executive John Morgan, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract extension, which we believe reflects the close and productive working relationships we have with Western Power Distribution, and the quality of the work we do. It also reflects the range of skills and capabilities we have in our Construction & Infrastructure division and its strong position for the future.”
