New CEO appointed at SES

25 Nov 10 Award winning building services provider, SES, is pleased to announce the appointment of its former Chief Operating Officer, Peter G Lewis, as its new CEO.

With effect from 1st December 2010, Peter will be responsible for the implementation of the overall company strategy and the delivery of its longer term growth plans.  He joined SES in 2001, during this time he has seen the Company turnover almost triple to the £150m plus business it is today. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, including a variety of senior level posts at NG Bailey.

He will report to Mark Perkins, Chief Executive of the Shepherd Built Environment Division. Commenting on Peter’s appointment, Mark said: “Peter has played a vital role in building SES into to the Company it is today. As we move the business forward I have every confidence that, given his experience, enthusiasm and drive, Peter will help SES continue to deliver its unique solutions to market, whilst supporting the strategic growth of the business in existing and new sectors.”

Despite the recessionary pressures, SES has continued to successfully deliver to its growth plans, evidenced by a recent £50m haul of new contracts, including the redevelopment of Liverpool Central Library, the new Civic Centre in Woolwich, West Yorkshire Police Scientific Support Unit and concentrated activity on the national education and health frameworks, as well as announcing new offices in London, Bristol and Glasgow.

Recently completed projects include: Broomfield Hospital PFI in Chelmsford, Yell UK’s new Head Office in Reading; University of York Heslington Campus; the 5 star Rockliffe Hall, Hotel & Spa in Darlington, and the redevelopment of Railhouse and Piccadilly Place in Manchester.
