New MD for Eric Wright Civil Engineering

2 Aug 13 Diane Bourne has been named managing director at Eric Wright Civil Engineering ahead of the retirement of John Saddington in September.

Ms Bourne has worked for the firm since July 1995, holding positions including quality and planning manager, contracts manager and director of site support.

She will continue to have overall responsibility for the group's safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) function.

"During my time at the company we have worked on some landmark schemes,” MS Bourne said, “most notably securing a place on a 10-year framework with United Utilities and completing our first project in the rail industry, which have enabled us to successfully build our reputation.

"I am pleased to be leading a great team which has some fantastic expertise and technical skills and am looking forward to growing the division business."

Jeremy Hartley, managing director of the Eric Wright Group, added: "Diane is the perfect choice for the role and is a skilled practitioner with good leadership skills and contacts in key sectors. She also understands the Eric Wright Group and will instill our values of integrity, quality and craftsmanship into the team as it grows."
