The Rapidmix machine, supplied by Rapid International, is to be operated from Allasso Recycling’s base in Hampshire, where it will provide a range of hydraulically bound materials (HMBs) for use in highway construction, utility reinstatements and new build projects.
Materials to be produced including cement bound granular material (CBGM), fly ash bound material (FABM) and slag bound material (SBM), using recycled aggregates wherever possible.
Allasso Recycling said that it was now able to produce 20 tonnes in just three or four minutes.
The Rapidmix mobile continuous mixing plant is designed for semi dry mixes such as HBMs, with a high output of homogenous material. The on board high-speed Rapid Twin Shaft mixer contains chill cast steel mixing paddles that are intermeshed to optimise mixing action and maximise throughput.
