Previous operations based in Liverpool focused on portable toilets but the new location in Appleton Industrial Park will also offer general plant, accommodation and welfare van hire.
After a £19m investment in the fleet by Nixon this year, the new depot was first in line to receive an allocation of the new JCB telehandlers, Volvo excavators, Bomag rollers, portable toilets and accommodation units.
Joint managing director Graham Nixon said: "Customer demand has meant that we have been considering larger premises in the northwest of England for some time. Our customers were asking for products and services which our small depot in Liverpool was unable to service, therefore we made the decision to relocate the operations to a much larger site in Warrington."
The new depot will be overseen by new area manager Steve Martin, who joins Nixon Hire from Scania Truck Rental.
