Both companies are based in Colchester, Essex, and have worked together for many years.
“We were flattered when Geoff Cadman approached us to see if we would be interested in acquiring his business,” said Milbank chairman Sean Milbank. “Geoff wanted to ensure that, if he sold the business, operations would continue and his loyal staff would be looked after.”
Geoff Cadman will remain involved with the business for a transition period.
Cadman runs a fleet of 22 mobile cranes across Essex and East Anglia. Its biggest crane is a 180-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2, which it bought earlier this year.
