Newmarket Plant expands Thwaites dumper fleet

24 Apr 12 Newmarket Plant Hire has added 42 Thwaites dumpers to its rental fleet.

The order from Thwaites’ dealer Shellplant is for a wide mix of models including the nine-tonne standard front tip, six- and three-tonne Powerswivel, three-tonne and two-tonne standard front tip and one-tonne Hi-Tip dumpers. Also included in the order are five of the new two-Tonne Hi Swivels.

The new Thwaites two-tonne Hi Swivel is the only dumper that can lift its full load, swivel it through 180 degrees and dump it at a height of 1.7m.

This latest batch of dumpers increases Newmarket Plant’s dumper rental fleet to almost 150 machines, most of which are Thwaites. Its recent £1m investment with Shellplant included other equipment including Kubota mini excavators and Ingersoll Rand portable compressors and follows a £1.4m investment in equipment last year.
